Donna Fiala has supported our Eagle Creek Golf & Country Club community for the past several years


She had Florida Department of Transportation install a traffic light at the intersection of US 41 and Price Street;


She had Florida Department of Transportation redesign SR 951 along the Wal-Mart development so that the drainage culvert was moved to the Wal-Mart side of the road, thus preserving the right-of-way and trees adjacent to our community property;


She was instrumental in having the Collier Regional Medical Center and auxiliary buildings be located in our community;


She ensured that the funding for the South County Library remain in the Collier County budget during the recent budgetary restraints, while insisting the East Naples Library on US 41 remained open after the new library construction is completed;


She was instrumental in obtaining funds for the US 41 median landscaping;


She was instrumental in forcing Kite Realty Group and Lowe’s to enter into an agreement with our community on the conditions of the construction of Lowe’s store being built adjacent to our property; and


She recently formed a Strategic Planning Committee to develop a Master Plan for the US 41 corridor between Airport Road and CR 92, which will encourage planned growth, both commercial and residential that is compatible with the unique natural resources of the area, resulting in an enhanced quality of life for all residents.

Thank you Letter from Eagle Creek

         Donna, I want to personally thank you for all you have done for our Eagle Creek community. I sent an e-mail out to the community to give them an update on where we stood with respect to Lowe's, and in the message I included the following:

"I will also add that without Donna Fiala's support all this would not have been possible. She was the catalyst that brought Kite and Lowe's to the table."

       Before the Eagle Creek meet the candidate and fundraiser on March 12, I will remind them about the Wal-Mart 951 improvements where FDOT originally had the drainage ditch adjacent to our property and a 5 foot wooden boardwalk along our fence. With your support the drainage ditch got moved to Wal-Mart's side of the road and a concrete sidewalk was installed adjacent the road, which meant the trees and vegetation along our fence line remained in place.

      And I will also remind them at that time about what you have done for us with respect to Kite and Lowe's.
