Manatee Park Neighborhood Meeting May 8th, 2008

 I have arranged a neighborhood meeting to present the plans for the new MANATEE PARK!  I wanted everyone who is interested to see the plan before it goes to the county commission at their next meeting.
  

 I believe it is a wonderful plan.  It's what I would consider a "Family Park."   It will have a 5 acre dog park for those who have been longing to have a place for their dogs.  It will have picnic benches, cooking stations, walking trails, putting green, fishing piers, a small lake for R.C. boats and things like that, a community center which would include a fitness center, and more.  It sounds and looks wonderful! <more/>
  
 But, before I vote on it, I want to know that the people USING the park are happy with the plan.  It's being built for you!
For those who might have forgotten, this park was originally planned to be a soccer complex.  Now it will be a family park, a neighborhood park, a park that everyone in the area can use.
 
  I know some of you are out of town, but please share this e-mail with your friends who might be IN town, as well as neighbors who might want to learn more about the park - their park!
   
The meeting will be this Thursday - May 8th at 4PM at the East Naples Library in St. Andrews Square.  Our Parks & Rec. Dept. will be there to show everyone the plans and answer questions. 
 
  If you would like to let me know you'll be there, please reply to this message - just to make sure we have enough chairs.  Maybe those who attend will e-mail their friends with the plan.
