Invitation to Town Hall Meeting, Thursday March 6th, 2008

Hi All,
      I received this from a friend who was inviting his community to the Town Hall Meeting, and I thought maybe I could ask each of you to send this invitation to friends who live in East Naples, not necessarily who live in District 1, to come to the Town Hall meeting as well.  I always love to show the county staff how much the people in East Naples care about what goes on in their community.

      Water will be a major issue, but we will also have presentations about the library, parks, transportation, and a strategic plan.  Please encourage everyone to come.

Please mark your calendar and attend Donna Fiala's Town Hall Meeting at 7 PM Thursday, March 6 in the Edison College Auditorium on Lely Cultural Blvd. Donna Fiala is the Collier County Commissioner representing our District No. 1.

Donna will have staff speak on various subjects and respond to questions from the audience. One subject that Donna will talk on is the developing of a Master Plan that will encourage planned growth along the US 41 corridor. On your drive to the Town Hall Meeting, try to pass the 30,000 sq. ft South Regional Library that is being built on Lely Cultural Blvd., which Donna helped make possible by insisting that money for the project be kept in the Collier County budget.Also adjacent to the library is the Collier County Emergency Operations Center that is being built. Both projects will be completed in the summer and fall of 2008. When you turn onto Lely Cultural Blvd. from CR 951 you will also see the Physicians Regional Medical Center Hospital that she encouraged to be located within our community. The Town Hall Meeting is an opportunity for everyone to be informed on what is happening within our community and what is planned for the future. I hope to see you at the Town Hall Meeting!
